All Purpose Aluminum

This brilliant, read-mixed aluminum finish is for use on all types of surface, — wood, metal, plaster, brick, concrete,. etc. — and may be used as a priming coat, a finishing coat or both.
It used as a Priming Coat over an Enamel, Varnish or other smooth sur face, the old finish should be roughened with sandpaper for best results. Where the finish coat is to be a different paint than Aluminum — 4 days’ drying time should be allowed between coats.
However, if the finish coat is to be Aluminum Paint — only 24 hoors’ drying time between coats is usually sufficient.
STIR THOROUGHLY — Stir this material before using until the pigment (heavy portion) is completely reincorporated with the liquid and none of the pigment remains concentrated at the bottom of the package. The paint should also be stirred about every 15 minutes during the process of application to pre vent resettling. Do not stir continuously.
FLOW ON SURFACE — Flow this paint on the surface and finish by brushing IN ONE DIRECTION ONLY, wiping the excess material off the brush on the rim of the can. Excessive brushing or brushing in opposite directions tends to leave streaks in the finish.
The surface being painted should be clean and dry. All grease, dirt and soot should be removed — also rust on both old and new metal. Avoid painting, if possible, in damp, frosty weather. 120-C
