Important tasks:
– Remove impurities using an appropriate method, e.g. a scraper or wooden brush
– Use a scraper to remove hard spots (hardened areas); remove resin specks with cellulose thinners.
– Sand with grit 60-80 sandpaper (coarse), 100-120 (medium), 180-220 (fine), steel wool (coarse and fine, non-rusting) and a scouring pad (fine).
– Always remove sanding residue with a painter’s duster.
– A sanding block makes sandpaper easier to control. For larger areas, hand-held sanders are recommended.
For all woods maintenance used externally:
– Enhances the wood with a translucent, silky finish.
Water repellent / UV-protective
– Provides an effective protection against the development of insects, mold and blue stain.
– Ideal for facades, cladding, doors, windows, shutters, eaves and all types of outdoor wood.
– No flaking – no blistering.
To achieve the best effect when applying a coat, the surface must be dry, clean and free of dust, grease, oil, wax and salt. Typical contaminants such as algae, mold growth, bird droppings, cobwebs, etc. must be completely removed.
